Words from the Lord are in red italics.
Christmas is a time of worship in honor of the birth of Christ. When a friend has a birthday, we show honor; how much more honor and reverence to our Lord, the King of kings, in whom we live and breathe?
To honor Him, Christ says:
Give hope where there is none. Take in the brokenhearted and the lost, and show mercy.
Give alms to the poor. Wash their feet and give them a resting place. Be a light of goodness first, and then grace.
Show your light; let it be of purpose. Be kind to the brokenhearted. Lift up the unworthy. Be a shelter from the storm and a calm in the wilderness.
Give alms to the poor, the lame, and the sick. Honor me, and I will be there with you in truth.
Honor me for the wicked press forth to rob and destroy. Honor Me in spirit and in truth, and I will make your way.
Pay Me your first fruits and give alms to the poor. Tighten your belt and step forth in truth. To be a light unto this world you must be in truth. No other planter (seed bed) is needed, place your seed of faith in Me and I will make it grow.
Cast off your burdens to Me and plant new beginnings. Wholesome is the heart that obeys the will of the Lord. Great and mighty is the hand of the man who is strengthened by the Lord.
Cast all your burdens at My feet, and I will give you reprieve. Do your works in Me and be proud only in spirit, giving all glory to Me.Â
We ask friends what they want for their birthdays to honor them.Â
As you look to establish Christmas traditions and His birthday traditions, consider acting on His words in honor of Him, the King of kings and the light of this world.Â
Do this, and soon you will find that it’s Christmas all the time.Â
